BE A PART OF FIVE ACRES HISTORY AT THE 50TH ANNIVERSARY GOLDEN PAW GALA!

You're invited to a milestone event in Five Acres Animal Shelter history! The 50th Anniversary Golden Paw Gala will not only celebrate our rich history of saving animals for the past fifty years, but it will also launch our next chapter as we expand our reach into the community.

The Golden Paw Gala will be held in the Discovery Room at Ameristar in St. Charles on Saturday, July 29th, 2023 at 7:00pm. Tickets are $125 each; tables of eight are $1,000. The evening will include a customized dinner, drinks, unique auction items, appearances from some very special animals, and will be emceed by Y98's Julie Tristan!

COULD YOUR HOME (AND COUCH) BE THE RIGHT FIT FOR TITAN?

Senior sweetheart Titan needs a new foster! His current foster family is going to be traveling soon, which means Titan will come back to the shelter where he declines rapidly.

At the shelter, he gets stomach issues from stress, grows anxious and depressed, and barks constantly--something that in turn causes stress in the other dogs there.

In the home, Titan is the poster dog for couch potatoes. He's lower energy, goes to bed early, is house-trained and non-destructive outside of a crate, is a great snuggler, and loves all people, including kids. He just needs a home with no other pets. Titan is 7.8 years old and 59 pounds.

CURIOUS ABOUT BEING A CAT FOSTER?

Join us on Sunday, May 21 at 5 PM IN The Kitty Cottage for a Cat & Kitten Foster Info Session!

Our Feline Team members and current cat fosters will be on hand to talk about the Cat Foster Program and answer questions. You will have the opportunity to meet some available cats as well! We would not be able to do what we do without the help of our foster families, and we are always in need of more homes. This event is purely informational and does not require you to become a foster! This is just to learn more about the program and how fosters can support the mission at Five Acres.

THE PUTTS FOR PAWS GOLF TOURNAMENT IS IN THE BOOKS! 

A big thank-you to everyone who joined us for the 4th Annual Putts for Paws Golf Tournament, as well as everyone who volunteered, donated, and supported the event! It was a breezy but wonderful day, and we hope everyone had fun! Together, an amazing $47,000 was raised for the cats and dogs at Five Acres Animal Shelter - WOW! Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Meet Adele! To be honest, we really don't know why Adele is still available. She adores peoples and makes for a great snuggle buddy. Around Kitty Cottage, she is the Captain of the Room and helps keep other cats in their place. She can be a bit of a boss-lady and would do well as the only cat in the home or with another cat who doesn't mind Adele being in charge. In addition to helping adopters sign in, she also likes to sit and judge what we're eating.​ ​ ​ ​ ​
